Camping at Pos Saweh, Sinderut.
It was Saturday. The haze was terrible. Recorded API at 180. I reach out to my 4×4 and head straight Raub Town. We had our tea break at fake Hailam Kopitiam upon reaching. The chicken chop rice suck! But coffee was doing ok. We bought some ice, snack and of course beers. After the refilling station, we drove in 40km to the north. The trailhead entry was really bumpy and pothole is everywhere. They do have the tar road, but is completely spoiled with poor workmanship and cheap labour. My Tough Dog suspension taking all the hits, which i set it to level 3 for softness. The whole car was like rocking boat. It takes about an hour plus to reach the Sinderut.
We stop for photography. Beautiful valley with the river below it. Goat, green and fresh air finally. There are easily few hundred of settlement. All mostly made from bamboo, totally organic. Some richer ones will have the single terrace. In the middle, there a school for the children. We went further in till Pos Labu and was the end all the orang asli settlement. The highest point was above 700 elevation. The air was clean, fresh. Cool breeze. Just what we wanted out from the hazy KL. The housewives would sit down at their big front lounge. There a big football field. Quiet life and stress free days. Our friend Soon decided to ask the local housewives some typical question on the camping spot. Guess what, out come the angry Steve Austin husband !
We quickly turn around and head straight to, not far way to the chosen spot, Pos Saweh. There where we spent the overnight by the beautiful river. My friend had his typical tight camp, while i try on my new hammock. Not too bad thou. Best is to have a soft flat ground..
